CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Wellness Coordinator (Part-Time)
Position Summary:
Create and maintain a whole health wellness program that positively impacts the health, well-being and quality of life of our employees. This is a part-time position, typically working two to three days per week, including Mondays and Fridays.
Essential Job Functions:
- Create a culture where health and wellness are valued and encouraged
- Develop and maintain good relationships with employees
- Manage day-to-day employee needs by coaching or assisting them as needed
- Maintain confidentiality when working with employees
- Work with HR team in developing wellness incentives
- Reduce the prevalence of nicotine use by administering tobacco cessation programs
- Coordinate and encourage participation in biometric screens
- Analyze aggregate health risk assessment data to recommend company wellness initiatives
- Coordinate annual flu shots
- Coordinate ordering and maintenance of fruit program, healthy meal and vending options
- Maintain administration of gym membership reimbursement bonuses
- Travel to branch offices and job sites as needed for meetings and coaching employees
- Keep current in the subject matter through professional development
- Some off-site training may be required
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of dietetics; Registered Dietitian or Licensed Nutritionist preferred
- Knowledge of tobacco cessation programs; Tobacco Cessation Certification preferred
- Experienced in all aspects of the wellness initiatives that are being promoted
- Ability to coach and teach others
- Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable making presentations to large groups
- Strong organizational and housekeeping skills, including the handling of confidential information
- Strong sense of customer service
- Proficient with computers including Microsoft Outlook
Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:
- Prior health coaching experience is preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred
- Dietetic or Nutritionist License preferred
- Tobacco Cessation Specialist certification preferred
